Bridge to be Named for Fallen Marine

This week, the family of Lance Corporal Jordan C. Haerter announced a formal dedication and unveiling of a public memorial at the foot of the Sag Harbor-North Haven Bridge will be held on Saturday, November 15 in Sag Harbor Long Island New York. The bridge, following state approval, will also officially be renamed in honor of Haerter and veterans across the country. Our Vietnam UH-34D Marine Helicopter, Freedom's Flying Memorial will be hovering along side the bridge during the dedication and will then land and be on public display at Mashashimuet Park located near the Fire House on Brickiln Road. Located at the corner of Jermain and Main Street.

All veterans are welcome to attend and be part of dedication. As the ribbon is cut all veterans will cross the bridge. Please come and show your support for this Hero Lance Corporal Jordan C. Haerter. Please be there by 09:30 for the ceremony. A "Heroes" Luncheon will be held at the Fire House for all attendees.

EVENTS ALREADY ATTENDED

April 5th The Commander of the 106th Rescue Wing has requested our UH-34D to attend the Ceremony in which the Air Force Cross will be presented to Chief Master Sergeant (Ret) Dennis M. Richardson at Westhampton Beach New York. This even is not open to the public.

May 5th  2nd Battalion 25th Marines Alumni Association Golf Outing  fund raiser
 for Marine families in need, wounded Marines and scholarships for Marine families.

May 12-18th Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall Farmingville, NY

May 22,23,24,25 and 27 "Fleet Week 2008" in NYC our UH-34 will fly with other Marine Corps helicopters into the following locations. Dates and times subject to change.
